➽WHAT IS HACKING?
Hacking generally refers to unauthorized intrusion into a computer or a network. The person engaged in hacking activities is known as a hacker. This hacker may alter system or security features to accomplish a goal that differs from the original purpose of the system.
Hacking can also refer to non-malicious activities, usually involving unusual or improvised alterations to equipment or processes.
➲Who are HACKERS?
The basic definition of a hacker is someone who uses a computer system to gain unauthorized access to another system for data or who makes another system unavailable. These hackers will use their skills for a specific goal, such as stealing money, gaining fame by bringing down a computer system, or making a network unavailable -- even sometimes destroying them.
THERE ARE VARIOUS TYPES OF HACKERS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY THERE ARE THREE TYPES OF HACKERS viz.
BLACK HAT HACKER
A person who wants to gain access in system for malicious purpose is known as black hat. A black hat hacker is also known as criminal hacker. Black hat hacker does not have any permission to gain access he hack for himself in order to destroy the victim. Black hat hacking is illegal so avoid it.
WHITE HAT HACKER
A person who identify weakness in the system in order to fix it is known as White hat hacker. White hat hacking is legal because it takes permission to hack the system. However, White hat hackers work for government, some secret organisation, etc.
GREY HAT HACKER
A grey hat hacker is combination of both white hat hacker and Black hat hacker as he didn't takes permission to hack the system and after hacking he provide the vulnerability report to the owner for fixing the weakness. So grey hat are also legal to some extent.
There are many others categories which I am listing below :-
GREEN HAT HACKER
A green hat hacker is considered as a newbie(beginner) hacker. Green hat does not have much idea about hacking.
RED HAT HACKER
A red hat hacker could refer to someone who targets Linux systems. However, red hats have been characterized as vigilantes. Like white hats, red hats seek to disarm black hats, but the two groups' methodologies are significantly different.

A blue hat hacker is someone outside computer security consulting firms who bug tests a system prior to its launch, looking for exploits so they can be closed. Blue hat hacker also refers to the security professional invited by Microsoft to find vulnerabilities in Windows.
